Hey Everybody,

I'm kind of a newbie (lurking around a bit, but havn't posted on this board) and I want to start out by saying I have much respect for the ladies on this board. You all really know sumpin about hair

Okay here's my question: I'm a natural who presses on occassion. I've been wanting to try MTG and other sulphur-based products, but when I mentioned this to my mother she said if you use sulphur on your hair you can't use heat because it will break your hair off. What do you all think? Old wives tale or old school wisdom?

Thanks

Old wives tale...

Ive been using both and its worked out fine for me. What stops breakage is LESS heat, DEEP conditioning and heat protectants when using heat on your hair.
