I've been using mine for about a month and dare I say, I think I'm seeing progress! I took my weave down to have redone and my edges and especially my kitchen are definitely longer.

Ive slacked off but defiantely wil kick it up again. Ive been battling MSM breakouts but I had way more growth with just MTG. So tonight Im throwing out the MSM because my face was really clear before and it isnt worth it to battle acne scars when Im trying to keep clean and clear for my wedding!

I got some growth in the last three weeks that I had my braids (that's when I started using it). Then I took a break for a week (when I took down my braids) and I started using it again this week. But I'm only applying it once a week cuz this Riverside heat ain't no joke, and I'm not trying to walk around smelling like tar and breakfast. :lachen:

I'm going on 2 weeks with my MTG experiment and cornrows and I must say there is already some growth coming in faster than usual. I mix my MTG with other products and apply it directly to my scalp. I have 4 more weeks to go before my touchup and I'm hoping to gain at least 1 1/2 inches by September and already I have about 1/4 inch of ng under my cornrows.

)))))Next relaxer touchup: September 5th, 2005
Current style: cornrows (no extensions) for 6 weeks
while using MTG every other day. Hoping to gain 1 1/2
inches by then.
Current hair length: 2 inches past brastrap (when blown out straight)
Hair goal for 2005: 5 inches past brastrap by December

I have 3/4 inch in some places and 1 inch in the others. I've been using it for 4 weeks.

Okay I know I am late but I am just finding out mtg is a pet product. Anyone getting any weird reactions from using it? Is this stuff even endorsed to be used on human hair? For some reason I can't find out this info on the website. And to think all this time I thought mtg was a vitamin.

There are threads on that already, but the manufacturers say YES the product IS safe for human use. They have very human customers who have been using MTG for a long time.

I'm very happy with my results. I've been using it for two months, but only applied it for about 6 weeks faithfully. My ng is 1.5-2+ inches in the longest places. I've also noticed that my ng has a loser pattern. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't think the MTG has chanced my follicles, but it's doing SOMETHING to my hair because the s-waves of my new growth aren't as tight.

I am very pleased with my results. I have not used it consistently but I see more new growth and my hair is thicker. I love this stuff. I only use it once a week and that's enough for me to see a difference.

Oh my god! My new growth is soooo thick from using MTG! All of a sudden I got an inch in some places and a little less in others. I was trying to transition to natural, but I'm having a harder time than when I tried before, so now I'm just going to texturize. I like this stuff! It definitely gives you lots of new growth, and thiiiick! Oh, did I say that already?

I've been slacking lately...I use it on occasion if I know I'm not going anywhere. I'll use it more when the heat dies down, heat seems to make the smell more potent.

I have been using a little over 4 weeks. It is working great. I like it. I will continue to use it once a week also.

well i have braids in now..i will check out my progress when i take them out..wich wont be until the end of sept...

I received mine three days ago and applied it in seconds. You guys are right. A little does go a long way. It is very oily. I put mine in a spray applicator bottle. I barely have to squeeze the handle to get some to trickle out of the bottle. Just the right amount comes out and I apply this little bit parted sections of my scalp.

I am keeping my hair tied up as much as possible so I don’t have to contend with the smell.

You know what is smells like to me; A mechanic shop or a tire store.!

I am planning to take weekly photos to share with you guys. I am so excited; just cant wait for all of the new growth.

My boyfriend saw the bottle in the bathroom and after that reading that big red label (Yall know what I am talkin’ about) he asked me if I was all right and wanted to know if I "had" something I wanted to share with him.

He did not know it was for horses..LOL

I started using mine again a week after my touch up and three weeks later I have about half an inch of thick new groth coming in. This stuff is like steroids for hair growth.

Yes I've noticed this too with my NG. Much easier to manage.

Lol @ that .. too funny.

Hi Ladies,
I've been hanging in there with the MTG too. It's been about one month and I can say I notice a full inch of NG! Before using MTG no way would I achieve a full inch. I use it 1-2x per week in a color applicator bottle and aply to my scalp and use my fingers to rub it in.

I have masked the smell with dried cloves and a hair oil that smells great (any strong good smelling hair oil will do). I mix 4 oz of MTG, 5 whole dried cloves, 1 oz of a good smelling hair oil. The outcome is Ok. At least I can go to work and not be self-conscious. I use Premeire's Rose conditioner for treating my ends and it's working too- it smells nice like cinnimon and cloves. So I have been able to retain the 1inch of NG! Now on to month 2! :)

I may have to start a thread about the Premeire Rose Conditioner though. I tried it on a whim. Its another horse product, but contains all natural ingredient like EOs. But several days after using in in a spray applicator bottle I noticed significantly less breakage especially my ends. These dried ends of mine were always breaking off and all over my clothes and the bathroom floor. Now when I vaccum the bathroom each week virtually no broken ends!

So, I have lucked out finding two great products at the same time! I can now really try for BSL by Dec/Jan!

I only started using it this week so I don't have any progress to report. Hopefully I will see some progress when I take my cornrows out.
