MTG- How effective is it?

Im considering using MTG...since I heard so many good things about it...I was wondering how effective is this stuff...can someone who has used this give me some insight

I personally like MTG. I use it 4-5 times a week. I think that I got a growth spurt from it in February, but since then I had to trim. I use a color applicator bottle and apply it at night( this way the smell is gone by morning) I don't think that it smells bad at all just different. I am trying to be more consistent with it. I think this is key to seeing results. I used it in the past and didn't notice any results because I would just use it every now and then. I just apply to my scalp not my hair. I have now started to apply this to my temples hoping to help thicken them up a bit(thinned a little from braids)

ive been using it since febuary and it has thickened my hair up a ton. i also think its been aiding in growth but i've been stretching my perms so i cannot truly tell. but it's definetly thicker. i feel like my old self again.

For me MTG is very effective. It has helped my hair growth and thickness so much. I am definately an advocate for mtg. When my mtg runs out I will be trying boundless tresses. I say give it a try. It has definately worked for me.

Hi I love mtg I have been using it since Dec 06, I know my hair has thicken a whole lot. I don't know about growth since my hair has been in braids. Give it a try

I love it. It's been great for my dry, itchy scalp. My hair has thickened and grown even with 2-3 times a week. I use it straight or mix it with my scalp cream.

How much do you usually use in one application? Since it is so oily and potent (smell), do you think it would be sufficient to put some on your fingers tips and just rub it into the scalp?

i just started using it so it's too early to tell. but i have seen pics of people who had bald spots and really thin temples who used MTG and their hair filled in very nicely. I was never an advocate of growth aids but this inspired me to use it because I have small bald spot.

MTG is very effective...I have been using it since early Janurary I think and I definitely get a lot more NG than before. I only apply a little on my fingertips and rub it in my scalp and temples. Btw, my edges had been bald for years until the MTG. Now, they have filled in.

The smell is not that great, but the benefits have been worth the smell.

hard hair, never had this problem. Only runs bad if you put alot on. Remember a little goes along way

I just part my hair as if I were greasing my scalp with it...when I am done I just massage my hair scalp a little and then I am done. I apply it with a color applicator so that it only a little comes out.

Read everything that I could before buying two bottles of BT. Was looking forward to the odorless so that I could look forward to even more
hair growth. But I must just be one of those people who can't handle the odor because I put it on my scalp just before bed and the smell woke me up.
I'm now in the middle of a DC at 5 AM and will be washing this out and selling my two bottles on the swap part of this board. I'm jealous of all of you out there who are able to use it and get amazing growth!

I agree with the poster who said it can turn your hair hard and it also can dry it out. I love MTG (and still use it) but I gotta be honest about my experience. My hair holds moisture better and is softer when I don't use it. BUT it's GREAT when I'm washing it out b/c it's like I had a pre-poo. I usually can detangle my hair under water before pooing or conditioning.

But the dryness/hardness is nothing some s-curl and NTM can't fix for me. So I still continue to use it. I'm not that consistent, but when I do use it, I still get more growth than if I hadn't.
