)I finally got my hands on this stuff and used it on Saturday, and I liked it a lot. I used it with heat for 30 minutes and I had soooo much slip when I rinsed it that I didn't follow it with a moisturizing conditioner!!

Well, my hair came out nice, but it's a little bit more dry than it normally is after a set, so I think I should have used another conditioner afterwards

, but I'm still giving this stuff two thumbs up!!!

Lindy was it moisturizing ? I have used thier Moisture Plus and i didn't really like it.

I really liked it as well. It left my hair very soft and slippery and I'm 3 months post relaxer. Great product!!

Hi Britt

,
I have the Moisture Plus and I HATE IT!!

The Silk Protein did feel very moisturizing, but like I said, I guess I should have still used a moisturizing conditioner afterwards, because my hair felt a little drier than usual after I took the rollers out...

I will def. still be using the silk protein, but I'll condition again afterwards, and treat it like a mild protein!!

Thanks Lindy!
Im glad it doesnt perform like the moisture conditioner they make, it sucks!
Maybe if u leave it on for a few minutes w/o heat it would be a bit more moisturizing. Strangely, I realize that most conditioners that I use work best w/o heat.

I've been noticing that lately too, Britt... maybe this is one of those...

It's such a trial & error thing though... most of my conditioners work fine with heat... I'm not sure but I think it's the ones that contain silicones that don't...

I always thought that it's best to use ANY conditioner with heat, but I guess that's not the case any more...

I like using heat cuz I need the conditioner to REALLY penetrate these color-treated strands, girl!!

Girl- I haven''t even tried the Barry Fletchere yet.

I will try it within two weeks though. I like to use heat with everything too. I hated the Moisture Plus conditioner but I have a friend who when she uses it her hair looks soooooooo silky.

I think 30 with heat may have been a bit much. I swear by this stuff! I used it a few days ago I had it on for about 45 min. (the longest I've ever left it on) with no heat. I rinsed it out and even though it felt like I didn't need a moisturizing conditioner I followed it with my Neutrogena Triple Moisture Mask.

I surprised this product doesn't get raved about more...

Love this conditioner. I only use it for 5 min without heat. I don't use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards... just a leave in (Motions, Biotera). I love this stuff, and Lindy, i am happy that you tried it.

I just ordered some of this after not having used it for at least a year. I wanted to try some other protein conditioner besides CPR. Anyhoo, I think I'll stick with it for a while. Seems a little bit better than the CPR for my hair. I usually use mine without heat and leave it in for about 30 minutes and follow it with a moisturizing conditioner. Good product.

I love this conditioner. For moisture I add a little bit of honey and evoo. I follow this with a leave in conditioner. I swear this stuff is the best of all their products. I got rid of the Aphogee protein treatment. Sometimes I use heat and sometimes none. Either way the results are great.

I just bought this stuff... did I get the right one? Mine says "Oil Moisturizer" in big pink letters, then moisture silk PROTEIN CONDITIONER underneath in purple.

I wanna try Motions Silk Protein after I use up my Elasta Qp Breakage Control Serum...it's a great product too!

can someone please post a link or picture of Motion's Silk Protein??
smile.gif
I've searched for it with no luck, a beauty store owner even pulled out the Motion's catalog to see if he could order it and didn't find it.

I love this stuff too

It works much better than CPR in my opinion, and you don't have to deal with washing out all those little nuts and berries that are in the Motions CPR

(ya'll know what I'm talking about)
This is definitely on my list of staple mild proteins

I really like this conditioner in my hair. The only time I had to follow up with another conditioner was when I was watching tv and I left it on for more almost 10 minutes by accident

. Five minutes is all I need for my hair, and the slip is great.
