My roomie got the new motions herbal relaxer. It is a lye relaxer from what I see on the jar. But the only herbal ingredient that I can see on the label is Aloe barbadensis and that is listed 8th, directly after the sodium hydroxide. I really don't see much of a difference between that and the Motions oil relaxer besides the smell. I will report after she does her touch up.

My guess it is a marketing ploy since herbal ingredients are all the rage :\.

I have had good results with it. The neutralizing conditioner is great, I still use a neutralizing shampoo out of habit and to be on the safe side. I was underprocessed with the regular Motions relaxer. This one works much better for me. I have never tried the Motions Oil relaxer.

I live the Motions Salon Herbals relaxer. I tried it for the first time 2 months ago and I think I will be using this one for a while. The stylist who was relaxing my hair (at the Dominican salon) kept commenting on how much she loves using this relaxer. She said it is really good alot better than what she thought it would be.
