I have used it before a couple of times but does it work better with heat?

Are you talking about the conditioner? If so, I had good results with heat from it.

This conditioner is good even without heat, but it's much better with it.

Hi Dionne,
I agree with the previous ladies. Heat seems to make the conditioner penetrate quicker & deeper into the hair shaft. I've used it without heat & still had marvelous results.

Agree with everyone else. I only use it with heat so can't compare without but I LOVE this stuff.
