Moisturizing and Sealing

what is the difference?
I am still trying to develop my regi and don't quite get this concept
Is it the same thing or can you use the same things to moisturize and seal?
Is it even necessary?

moisturizing is using a water-based cream/lotion/spray or whatever to help hydrate your hair.

sealing is using an oil to trap that moisture into your hair.

oils dont moisturize, but they help to keep moisture in

i think when it comes to oil moisturizers, though
you wouldnt have to seal it in because the oil kind of separates
itself from the other part.

I was going to comment, but you did an excellent job of explaining.
Just to add that moisturizing is really important b/c of all the things that tend to dry the hair out (heat appliances, the natural air, etc.) Just as she metioned, once you moisturize the hair, you want to seal it in to "trap" the moisture and this is where the oil comes in and acts as a barrier to keeping the moisture from escaping.

Yep all of that is soooo right!!!
