I got the same feeling from Mango Butter...I know a lot of people love it but I don't think it moisturizes my hair. I believe Sistaslick (or maybe someone else) told me that Mango butter could be use to seal in a moisturizer in like oil.

Jane Carter's nourishing cream beats the mango butter by a mile. It is the best butter type product I have ever used. Only problem is the price is a bit high.

Somebody said something about Elasta QP Recovery having mineral oil in it? I didn't know that. I'll have to check my bottle when I get home. I actually like stuff. I used to use it more than I do now because I bought so many new products trying to try out new things. I have the NTM but I need to try it with the oil seal because I hadn't really noticed anything that made me want to keep using it. I think I may be using too many products. I'm going to have to take a step back and test out these lines individually because I've been piling everything on. lol

I love Profective Breakfree. It's one of those products that I never would have tried were it not for the knowledgeable women here on the board. I love it and hope that w/ consistent use it will continue to minimize breakage. The only problem is that it's hard to find. My Sally's only carries it occasionally. If anyone knows any place I can buy it. I would really appreciate it. I'm almost out and don't want to be w/o it.

Texas Beauty Supply
They have a great price too. It's a very large jar. HTH!

My hair *hates* Profectiv Breakfree! I agree with whoever said it left their hair feeling waxy. I've replaced it with Cantu Breakcure, which feels much better on my hair. I use this at night, and use my Elucence spritz in the morning. Works so far.

I've never tried NTM, and it has too many cones for me to want to try it as a daily moisturizer.

I love NTM as a daily moisturizer and although I have the Profective Breakfree (for Healthy Ends), I am afraid to use it all over my hair. Someone pegged it when they described it as being waxy.

I use the Profectiv on my ends and ONLY on the very ends of my hair, but a little bit goes a long way because I run my fingers over the top of the jar, not even making a dent in the stuff, and I have all this product on my fingertips.

I love NTM. It makes my hair feel so soft. I like Mango butter too, but there's definitely a difference.
I try to use NTM before I put my braids in.

I use both and love them the same...:(
The Profectiv, I dab on my ends and the NTM I use the hair mask and the leave-in.

What about Jane Carter Solution Nourish and Shine?? I like it alot better than NTM.

I love Jane Carter's Nourish & Shine! It makes my hair shiny and smell terrific! I seal it with Amla Lite and it still smells sexy. Great for your skin too! I am on a business trip and I bought it with me because it is a product you can use on hair and skin. TWO THUMBS UP!
