Moisturizer for Thinning Edges

Can you guys suggest some moisturizing products I can use on my thinning edges, especially when I have more new growth. I need something that won't cause buildup on the scalp because the hair is becoming so thin in that area.

I tried Dr. Miracles Temple Balm. It's so moisturizing but it left build up like you wouldn't believe.
