Mizani Hydrafuse or Moisturefuse (One Better)?

Hi Ladies. Because I am a broke college student I have to make a choice. Hydrafuse or Moisturefuse? I know they are both moisturizers but does any one moisturize better than the other? I would love you ladies' opinions because I have no idea and don't want to make the wrong choice b/c my hair is very dry and does NOT need more protein!!! I also know that one is for the salon and one is for home but I dont think that necessarily means hydrafuse (salon) is better. So anybody who has had any experience with one or both please if you would weigh in!!!

I had both and I hated hydrafuse. It left my hair dry and no slip but the moisturefuse is the "ish" IMO. It left my hair super soft and plenty of slip. I loooooove moisturefuse.

The moisturefuse is the one in the large professional size bottle? Get that one. The hydrafuse does nothing for hair. But, honestly... there are better conditioners out there for the money. Pantene Hydrating Rinse, and Nourishing mask will immediately start repairing damage from lack of moisture. It is so good, IMO. I don't know why I keep buying everything but the Pantene cuz works so well in it's price range.

If you have to choose between one or the other, I'd suggest Moisturefuse. I've used both and I loved the way Moisturefuse left my hair feeling. It was very moisturized.

oh thank you ladies!! i would have hated to buy both and end up with a dud. and i guess my assertion was right, just because it's for the salon does not mean it's better. Also I think i will try the pantene stuff, it should be in my budget (of nothing), but do they sell that in walmart??

I've used (and still use) both. I LOVE Moisturfuse and the price is pretty good. Hydrafuse is okay. Once I use up my liter bottle I won't repurchase. I use it with Kerafuse. Once my hair is dry, it looks/feels nice. But I get no slip and it doesn't feel moisturized when applied or after I rinse. Mixing it with oil has made a huge difference, though! Moisturfuse is ~$10 cheaper and easier to find than Hydrafuse, too!

Speaking of Pantene, also see about trying the Pantene R/N breakage defense hair conditioning mask. I compare this a lot with my mizani moisturefuse.

you know i went up there looking for that too don't you know up here where all the things for AA people are under "Ethnic Products" they only had the shampoo and condish from the R/N series. i'll try walgreens...even though we're "ethnic" there too...lol

Thanks for the links girlyprincess23. It seems that the breakage defense packaging has changed. I hope the ingredients hasn't though as I love the original mask a lot. I noticed that they don't reveal the ingredients on the site so I guess I am just going to have to go out and look for them at the BSS. Those masks look promising.

Can't really vote, but I LOVE Moisturefuse. One of my top 2 fave conditioners of all time. Softness and slip. I must say though, Trader Joe Nourish Spa Condish is giving it a run for it's money lately, and its WAAY cheaper!

I love Mizani Hydrafuze. Its a staple DC for my newly relaxed tresses. I mix it 50-50 with Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner. Add some evco & jojoba, then sit for at least 45min with heat, then an additional 30min without heat so the cuticles can begin to cool down & close up. My hair is the softest, most moist, butter-feeling thing on my head. The slip is incredible.!!!

BOTH! I do use both and have for years...either separately or one after the other. Ok the break down is like this for MY hair...Moisturefuse is the "lighter" of the two. It's my usual go to moisture condish. It's heavy enough for my hair and leaves it w/ a "soft" moisture. Hydrofuse is the stronger of the two (w/ a weird-ish scent) and gives you a "harder" moisture. I use this one less often. I might use Hydrofuse 1st and then follow w/ Moisturefuse to loosen it up a bit.

I started w/ Moisturefuse and I suggest this might be the place to start for you also OP.

You can't go wrong w/ Mizani condishes! (Even Fulfyl is great for medium protein)

I've only tried moisturefuse, and I love it, It leaves my hair extremely soft....
I hate how heavinly perfumed it is, but it is a really high quality product, I've had consistent results with it, It's something I should repurchase but since it looks like I maybe become a PJ, don't know if that's gonna happen soon..

Ok, I'm a lil' cofused what do you mean by 'hard' moisture? It leaves the hair moisturized but not soft? come come, inquiring condish addicts need to know

^^^ I had no better way to put it, but it leaves the hair a bit "stiffer" than Moisturefuse. Since I'm comparing these 2 prods to each other and not other prods, that's the most accurate I can make it. You have to try both to understand, but I guess like w/ protein products, moisture prods have degrees. I say Moisturefuse for normal use and Hydrofuse for a time when you need maximum moisture. Use a softer moisture prod you like to loosen it up of that's what you want. It may not even react the same on your head as it does mine.
