What kind of conditioner would you mix your relaxer with?

Protein Dudley,...??

or

Moisture Like Miss key, kenra,...???

If you're saying you use Dudley's relaxer, then I would not mix protein with it. Mix a deep conditioner, like some Humecto or Nexxus Humectress, and add a little oil, like EVOO, Johoba, or Castor to your relaxer.

The purpose Champagne_Wishes...I think...is to lessen the strength and make it milder....depending on how much conditioner/oil you add. Also if you add too much, the relaxer will lose it's effectiveness.

The benefit is, that a relaxer breaks down the bonds in the hair, so conditioner can penetrate better at this time.

thanks for all the replys. I heard the purpose was to cut the strength of the relaxer. But, I did not know what conditioners.

Oh okay. That sounds pretty good. I should do this when I am doing a self-relaxer one of these days. Thanks again.

I recommend adding one tablespoon of Olive Oil. With a conditioner you never know what ingredients in that conditioner may not be compatible with the relaxer ingredients. Olive Oil is just one ingredient compared to five or ten in any conditioner.

If you still want to use conditioner, I'd suggest using a moisturizing one ONLY!

This is what I thought too.

You might try going with a moisturizing conditioner. I know Anikalia used to do this... you might try doing a search for her name...and texturizer. I think I remember she said she put about 2 tbsp of conditioner in a kit relaxer... maybe she says somewhere... exactly what she used
