I finally got my stuff in the mail from Curlmart today so I just ran upstairs and washed my hair to try it out. Why didn't y'all tell me this Buttercreme is so tingly?!?!?!? As soon as I took it out the box all the sudden I was overwhelmed by this minty smell. Then when I opened the jar I realized that's what it was. I'm sitting here and my hair is just a tingling. I didn't know it was gonna smell like this. I guess it's not bad, but it just really threw me off guard. Also, what am I supposed to do now? And how do I get it to sink into my hair? It just looks like it's sitting on top. I didn't use a lot but my hair is soaking wet. Do I put my regular styling product on top? I also got the Curly Meringue. I tried the CP before and didn't like it.

Also, as a sidenote: I think the heat from the Dom blowout I got last week has loosened my curl pattern a little bit. It feels and looks like it's slightly looser. My curls actually feel bigger. Is that weird? Even after DCing it's the same but it doesn't look damaged (it actually feels softer than usual) and I don't see any breakage so I guess it'll be okay. At least I hope so. :ohwell:

:yep: I remember being this excited to try my new Miss Jessie's products. The CP is not so useful to me either but I still use the Baby Buttercreme from time to time. The smell is not so overpowering, it doesn't tingle at all, and the moisturizing is delicious. I've heard that the regular buttercreme will give you the same unbelieveable moisture once you get past the mint tingle. Don't worry, your hair will soak up that moisture as it dries (maybe try towel blotting your hair before using next time) -a little goes a loooong way.

When I use the buttercreme for twist-outs it usually gets the job done on its own. I might use an oil for shine, but other than that I don't really feel the need to put another product on top.

HTH!

next time, if u don't like the minty-ness try baby buttercreme, it smells really good. I've tried both and I like both:yep:

Thanks ladies for your responses. So far, so good. My hair does feel really soft. And the tingling has stopped for the most part. I plaited it up for now and I'm gonna put my wig on. I have to work tonight and I don't want my hair to get the smoke smell in it since I just washed. I'll wear it out tomorrow.

My two for one Ms. Jessie should arrive tommorrow. I simply love the meringue. The buttercreme will penetrate the hair and disappear. After a few tries you will find the rite amount and method that works for your hair. Like someone else said a lil goes a long way. Also misting daily revive the moisture and those curls/kinks.

I used the buttercreme and the meringue and then plaited it up. I didn't comb through it though. My hair is extra soft this morning! And the buttercreme worked pretty good around the edges too. The problem I had with the Cp was that it didn't do anything for them. I might have to nix my gel for this. :yep:

Yeah I like the CM too. It gives alot more definition then the pudding, but the only thing is it's not as moisturizing as the CP, and it doesn't mix well. W/ the CP I could mix with any other product, but the CM only works well alone or with the buttercreme. :ohwell:

I'm going to be taking advantage of the buy one get one free and stocking up on the butter creme, meringue and the Rapid results.

BlackButtaFly, what do you use for wash and gos? The BC and then the CM? I think our textures are similar. The CP dried my hair out.
