Has anyone styled their hair that way? Would that style be considered a protective style?

This looks like a protective style. I wonder if this could also be used when stretching a relaxer and there is alot of ng?

I did this about 2 yrs back...my complaint...untangling the ish after I wantwd them out.

I style my hair like this every time I wash it. At first it was difficult to detangle, but I realized that if I left the force of the water help, it wasn't so bad after all.

ITA!!! I had the hardest time detangling, and with my hair being fine and fragile, definitely not a good thing.
