For those of you that have tried both products (or either one), which would you recommend for newgrowth while stretching out relaxers or transitioning? Thanks.

I have tried both and I don't like the CD's hair butter. It was too greasy/heavy for my hair type and the smell did not agree with me. I have the baby buttercreme which is unscented and that works fairly well for moisture, but it is not worth the high price IMO. I actually prefer Qhemet Biologics moisturizers.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, Miss Jessie's prices are very high but I don't mind paying for good quality. But if I can find something a lot cheaper for the same price then I will definitely try it out. :yep:

I have used both. Cd healthy hair butter can be very greasy if you use too much and the smell is very loud, but that didn't bother me. I actually liked the smell. I prefer Miss jessies baby buttercreme. It is very moisturizing and makes my coarse hair soft. I use it for braidouts.

Hmmm...I have both products but I use the healthy hair butter wayy more than the buttercream. I like the babybutter cream but I like the moisture of the hair butter and milk after I have just washed.

HHB is garbage. I've never tried Buttercream, but I'd say go with that over HHB. :yep: Have you ever looked at the Qhemet or Oyin sites? Much cheaper, so it won't be such a gamble. Buttercream works good for some, but a lot of people hate it or are indifferent to it. That stuff is too damn expensive for it to be just ''okay''!

Never used Miss Jessies....but have friends that do and they use it more for curl definition and wash and go styles.

HHB is a staple for me and mix it with the Mimosa Hair Honey and it always leaves my hair soft and helps seal in moisture. Im a 4a natural so "greasiness" is not a problem for me....

I'm transitioner and the HHB wasn't for me. It left my NG feeling very dry after a few hours although it feel very nice while applying.
