Has anyone done these and avoid issues when taking them out? I think I will try them but at the same time I am scared my hair will get tangled or something when I take them out. anyone try them and not like them?

OMG I am so glad you started this thread cuz I plan on wearing mini twist for the majority of 2011 and was worried about the exact same thing.

My 4a/b natural hair is very fine so regular sized twists does not look right on me:ohwell: I planned on doing my first set of mini twist for the new years..

I hope someone responds:yep:

ETA: Are you talking about relaxed/natural twist with/without extensions?

i do mini twists or micro braids all of the time. i just use conditioner and water to untwist/unbraid. no problems, no breakage. i have a little head so i have to make them small.

oh, natural and no extensions either and i do it on wet/damp hair.

My hair us natural so I was going to try it on my own hair but I know you probably have to be super gentle when taking them out but I fear tangles and it getting matted.

ETA: Here is a video of Pretty Dimples doing hers, those are tiny but look cute and would last me a month. YouTube - Mini twist

Yes, that exact video is what gave me the idea to make mini twists my PS for 2011. I love PrettyDimples:grin: And those twist were too cute. I plan on keeping mine in for a month at a time also:yep:

My hair is fine and I've been wearing them since August.

I think it's the twisting method that determines whether your hair will tangle or knot up. I also twist w/o any products and only moisturize my ends. I wash my hair in the twists so it takes no time to wash. I always ACV rinse which keeps my strands smooth--which I believe helps with the take down.

I did them really small braids once and I about died. It was so tangled. Mini twists, I had no problem.

I find the same thing happens to me. The only way I can wear small braids is with extension hair included to keep the hair from each of the three strands used to braid from tangling with that in the others.
