So I have become my own kitchen beautician since June 2014 ( my last salon visit). I was ready to take charge of doing my own hair and felt the salon relaxers were just too strong and my hair seemed to be getting shorter and thinner over time. I am posting pics of my starting point in June 2014 and where I am as of December 21st. I retained about 2 inches I believe since this 6 month period. I will admit that I have to break my flat-iron addiction (1-2 times a month-- it's too much). I was doing half wigs this summer and slacked off of that to wear my real hair out. I plan to go back to my half-wigs after the Christmas holidays. I feel like my hair looks somewhat better and thicker. I have switched over to Straight from Eden Relaxer. I love this relaxer. Also I have been pre-pooing with Coconut oil 1x a week usually on Saturday night and wash it out Sunday morning. I have also been deep conditioning at least 1xa week under a hooded dryer. I am getting the hang of this and plan to gain some more inches the next 6 month. My next length check hopefully will be April 2015.

Good growth! I know you said you've only retained 2" and I see it on your shirt but it looks like more. It has definitely gotten thicker. I think your decision to stop flat irowning is a good one and will produce great results!

I want to gain back my length I had back in 2010... I won't give up until I reach past bra strap length
