thanks for the information... I just got my second bottle delivered yesterday. I use megatek on the scalp only, so I will probably never use the shampoo, but that is good to know in case I ever decide to use it as directed.

i have only been using it for a few months..but i've been putting it on my actual hair since it's keratin...am i doing this wrong? what's the benefits of only applying to scalp? what do you use on your actual hair to condition? thanks for any help

the way your using it is fine... I just use it on the scalp as I don't want to rinse it out immediately after, lots of the ladies here use it on just the scalp mixed w/ the oil of choice... evoo, jojoba, etc. I find that it has increased and thickened my new growth. For my normal condish there are a few I use, including: Mizani MoistureFuse, NTM Mask, Salerm Wheat Germ Mask. I also like to use VO5 for rinsing my hair after my workouts during the week.

I only apply Mega-Tek directly to my Scalp. Never to the Actual Hair. Even applying to the Scalp, I have found it to be very drying. So, since you are using it throughout your hair, be careful of Shedding and Please make Sure you Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize.

And then go back and Moisturize Some More.

I think it would also be "Extremely" helpful for you to go back and read some of the Previous Post on how to use Mega-Tek. Not that there is anything wrong with "how" you're doing it, but You have to Know Your Hair and if Your Hair can Directly Handle that Much Protein.

I ordered my MegaTek from valley vet and I think it was like 3-4 days fedex I received it and they even sent some horse treats lol I just donated them to a horse ranch. I also only apply to the scalp and between Megatek and the Biotin I had good results while my braids were in.

Thanks for posting this fayd2dark. He also told me the same thing and I bought the shampoo on his advice.... aarrrrgghh! I have not notice my hair doing much better with the shampoo. I think it's just a personal choice. Since I bought the shampoo I feel I need to finish the bottle :{ When I reorder again I will save my money and would not order the shamoo again. My hair feels and looks better with my own shampoo that I use. I see lots of growth and thickness even without using their shampoo. I think for best results that consistant use of Mega Tek is most important.

Initially, I too didn't see one bit of improvment using MT but about 4-6 wks into it...all of a sudden I've had a growth spurt and now have almost 2" of new growth (I started just after Mizani relaxer)...so, although I agree that MOISTURIZING to the umpth-degree is a MUST with this product, I have to say that Imma stick w/it...I am going to take his other suggestion which is to use the Rehydrant spray...he claims that it is a 24hr moisturizer used for the horses that have a show to do...it's cheapest at that link i sent from Adams Horse Co.

Malarky! The shampoo has SLS in it. I use Aubrey Organics moisturizing cleansing shampoo. Works fine for me. Thank you for the websites as I want to buy MT cheaper. My favorite website is kvvet or valleyvet. Kvvet ships in 3 days. No matter how you cut it, MT is still $30.
