I am 25 and I still get mistaken for 16. The way I see it, there isn't much you can do about it. You'll be more grateful for it when you get older.
I also agree that you should stay away from ponytails unless you are able to make it look mature (which can be difficult).
Yesterday, instead of putting my hair in a ponytail I swept it up, pinned it and it had the look of a casual french roll (but not one of those outdated ones). I also took some of my hair on the side of my face, swooped it across my forehead and pinned it back. Very mature hairstyle that a 16 year old wouldn't wear so hopefully people could tell I just have a baby face.
