Has anyone else ever got caught up trying to do to many different treatments at one time? I had alma oil in my hair for an oil rinse. Then, I added a yogurt, buttermilk, and molasses concoction. Then I put in my AO Honeysuckle and some Suave Coconut oil. Didn't know if I should try to detangle all that with the denman or the jiblere (sp.)comb. Then, I was trying to figure out if I should be rinsing with warm water for the oil or cold water to close the cuticles. My hair seemed like it was sitting under all that stuff like WTF is she up to now.:spinning:
Lesson learned don't try to do everything at once.

No:nono:, I just do one treatment at any one time to respond to what my hair needs at the time. I'm usually too afraid that chemicals in the products won't agree with each other and my hair will break or fall out. I had a horrible dream about this just this week. I mixed some products on wash day and applied them to my hair and 20 mins after my hair was falling out. I was bawling in my dream. So no, I'm definitely not going to try this in real life.

Wow, Cherryhair123, that's a lot of hair stuff going on!

I really try to keep things simple. For my hair, basic is best. Sometimes I like to special treatments, but just one thing at a time. And you're right: trying to figure out the follow-up methods can take a lot of pre-planning and maneuvering.

If you do too many things at once you won't know which product is causing great results or which one is creating problems. I'm all for mixing but I try to keep it to oils

Been there, done there-revisit occasionally. Sometimes I get too excited to try new products and my max mad concoctions end up being trouble cleverly disguised as bright ideas. Nothing a good re-poo hasn't bailed me out of.
