Just went on a BSS mission today!

Hit: Roux Porosity Control. I'd been sleeping on this one; a recent thread woke me up. Hair not completely dry yet, but is soooo moisturized and soft. Ends are forming into the most gorgeous curls. Woohoo! :love5:

Miss: Nexus Emergencee. Ok, everyone else seems to like this better than Aphogee (which worked fabulously for me, although it was sort of drying), so I decided to try it. Was expensive and worse yet, I'm still having some breakage. Was not drying like Aphogee though. I am about to search the forum to figure out if I can use the Aphogee so soon after using this.

I also bought Nature's Gate aloe shampoo and JBCO, so I'll be reporting back!

so far...

hit
coconut oil as a pre poo
kenra moisturizing conditioner

miss
kids organics crap butter lotion
coconut oil as a "moisturizer"

i still got other products to try

hit: ORS smooth and hold pudding. it is amazing. it reminds me of a mix between jane carter twist and lock and miss jessies products. it has a soft hold but makes my twists so juicy.

Hit
EW Herbal Creme has a leave in mixed with Avocado Butter and Oil

Now all I need is Vitamin E to preserve my mix

Miss: After months of use Aussie Moist...gave me cone build-up

Hit: Returned to using GVP Cond. Balm, don't know why I stopped but I love this stuff
Another hit: EVOO, don't know why I stopped using it to seal, but it's back and here to stay.

Hit:
Joico KPAK reconstruct conditioner (the 1 minute one)

this made my hair feel like butter and it's a light reconstructor, need i say more?

JBCO- I think this stuff does make your new growth come in faster...the jury is still out though, it's been less than a month. It gives me the itchies though! It does make my new growth very soft though!

HIT:
FOTE aloe vera gel on my edges
matrix biolage gelee
African Royale BRX braid spray
ion effective care treatment protein fortifier and moisturizer....my hair looooves this stuff!

MISS:
organics hair mayo....tried it instead of buying ORS and had seeds stuck all in my hair. lol
(free) kinky twists on a 10 year old....i spent 6 hours on em and she yanked em out 3 weeks later when she wanted to "swang" her broken off chewed up relaxed hair. :nono: never again!

HIT: Unrefined Shea Butter (I know I'm late in the game but .... loves it!) My hair is hydrated and glowing, my skin is smoother and my eczema is clearing up.

No Misses here!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've mixed JBCO with peppermint oil and wow it really itches! I hope that's a good thing as I don't normally suffer from an itchy scalp!

HIT: Pureology Leave In. This is a great leave in, it detangles well and it is so lightweight, which I love. ! I think I have finally found the perfect leave in to complement my regimen - it's about time!

HIT: Melting Raw Shea Butter down and mixing it with my Deep Conditioner. HAIR WAS LIKE BUTTER when I washed it out! LIKE OMG!!!!!! Perfect mositure! I am doing that with every deep condition for now on.

MISSES: None

* Hits *

Shea Oil - I use this on my hair and body.

Unrefined Shea Butter - I bought 5 pounds (in chunks). I made a nice creamy batch (not grainy at all thank goodness) of it to use on my hair and body. Looks like my nieces and sisters-in-law will be getting my former Body Shop Body Butters since I have no reason to go back to that stuff.

On the fence with qhemet biologics Alma and Olive Heavy Cream.

My hair does feel more moisturized but my edges are still dry. And the cream was very expensive and it doesn't spread well.

Hit

HE Hello Hydration Conditioner- this stuff has replaced my GF Instant Melting Conditioner and Aussie Moist for my co-washes.

Not sure if its a miss yet.
Hair One- Olive Oil Formula. I have tried it once so far, I had to follow up with HH to detangle. I will give it one more try.

Ill be trying this! Our hair usually like the same products.

Hits
Alba Botanicals leave in
Giovanni Smooth as silk shampoo
Giovanni Smooth as silk conditioner
Home Health Castor Oil

Hit:
The entire CHI line. Hair feels very strong and moisturized.
Doing wash n' gos while stretching my relaxer.
Using vaseline under gel. Thanks Dlewis.

Miss:
NTM. Not moisturizing... at all.

Revisited Hit:
Fish oil vitamins. Hair and skin are both well moisturized.

HIT
Banana clips (thanks Kimmaytube)

Someone said to me "I know that is not a banana clip...but that is sooo cute."

Castor oil
Red palm butter
coconut oil

***I want to buy some sheat butter..I want to try melting that and mixing it with conditioner.. I am definitely going to order that tomorrow.

hit: miss key 10 en 1, silicon mix, hairveda vatika frosting

miss:ors replenishing condish, didnt do anything for my hair idk why =/

still hve more products to try too =)

Hit: Denman D3 brush for detangling. Used this in the shower under running water with AOHSR with minimal hair loss. I'm relaxed and thought these brushes were only for the curly girls.

HIT: Dominican blowout....despite the heat, the fact that my ends are not sitting on top of one another getting tangled makes this a great styling option for me, even better than a WNG surprisingly. Added bonus? My stylist is awesome!

MISS: braids....they seem to thin out my hair (twists are ok though)....and mashing up an avocado and putting it in my hair. I was picking out bits of guacamole for hours. Also, melting shea butter in my DC....my hair just doesn't like this stuff unless it's in a commercial product like Cantu Leave-In or MJ Baby Buttercreme.

YET TO SEE: I just began taking an omega 3,6,9 supplement again -- let's see how I feel in 60 days when they're all gone.
