Hi Ladies, well I've been using the Mango Butter and loving it. I'm just about finished it and would like to try something just as good or better in its place. Oh and I think that I'm a PJ too!
Yeah, I agree with Adrienne on this one. Why not keep using it? However, if you're a pj, you could also try curl activator to moisturize your hair, BUT you should keep some Elasta QP Mango Butter Moisturizer on hand. This gives you a reason to repurchase some Mango Butter AND a chance to buy and try something new. You know I've got to help a pj find a legit excuse.
Good recs ladies. I use the mango butter with the S-Curl and it works great for moisturising. After I was my hair and detangle, I spray on some S-Curl evenely throughtout the hair. Then I reach for a little mango butter and dothe same, concentrating on the ends. This combo works like a charm
Can Mango butter be put on the scalp as well or just the hair? I am looking to buy it but I want something that can moisturize my ends as well as my scalp. Thanks in advance.
Well, I don't use anything on my scalp because my scalp is very oily. However, I'm not sure a creamy moisturize would be good to use on the scalp. Something that's similar to your scalp's sebum would be much better (like jojoba oil). HTH.
Would one of you lovely ladies mind listing the ingredients of the Mango Butter for me please?
And Adrienne where in So Cal are you finding the Mango Butter? I cant seem to find it anywhere...well honestly I havent looked all that hard but my ususal places dont have it.
Thank you so very much...sounds like some good stuff!!!
Well I went to two other stores looking for this and still no luck. The asian lady at the beauty supply booth at the Swap Meet (yes it's in the hood) told me that she is going to ask her distributor for it (she never heard of it).
The suggestion to keep the Mango Butter and also to get S-curl activator moisturizer was great. This combo is a keeper. I hope that this combo will help prevent split ends, which I already have started to see and my hair is so short already
I've been thinking about letting the Dominican place around the corner trim my ends. I went there before and I told her to take off very little and she did just that like 1/16th of an inch. she actually showed me the hair that was being removed. Should I wait?

well thank you for this very imformative first post !!!!
and a big welcome to you!!!
I knew my friend and I should have went to that Sally's today instead of the Swap Meet!!!
I'm glad both of these products are working out for you. I only get my hair trimmed when necessary. If it's necessary to get a trim, I say go for it. If not, keep those ends moisturized and protected and wait until they need a good trim.
Your welcome Valleygirl,
I love Crenshaw boulevard, anytime I have wanted to try a new product I look their first. Elasta,Profective,Hairobics,Goldwell...you name it I found on Crenshaw.
