After epically failing at this style lol I searched YouTube for a better way to do it and came across this tutorial:

I haven't tried it yet but I rebraided mine the same way she did hers and I may not get to try it for a while because I have kinky twists in now but if any of you ladies give it a try, please chime in with a yay or nay.

this is what i do. there is a thread on this around here somewhere, and that is where i got the idea.

sometimes i cut the pack of hair in half and use one half for a braided bun and the other half for a twisted bun.

I use the 18 inch pack of Marley Braids for my "natural" bun. I divide the hair into two equal parts, braid each part, and fasten a black rubber band to both ends. (It should look like "^")

1. I moisturize and lightly brush my own hair in a ponytail using a covered band. I may either use Aloe Vera Gel or clear gel on top of the moisturizer.

2. I take my faux braid and secure it to my head (just above the ponytail)with two long, coated hair pins in an "X" formation.

3. I wrap the faux braid around the ponytail and secure with the "open" bobby pins.

4. At this point, I tie my hair down with a silk scarf so that my hair will "set" for about 15 minutes.

ita, that loop idea brings it all into focus!

and Lilsparkle, as always, you know all the threads on the good stuff!

come on....out with it and share it with us, lol!
