Make it past one day with Caruso curls?

Anyone knows how to make their Caruso curls make it past one day? I love it, but then it goes flat. I been reading up on Caruso one year before I finally bought it. The curls are cute, but I don't want to put hair spray on my hair...Unless someone knows a really healthy hair spray? Because all the ones I saw have alcohol as the main ingredient.

The trick is to not have any product in your hair (or very little of it) when using them. The curls will come out limp and won't last thru the day let alone another day.

When I do spiral curls they sometimes last 2 days.

I asked this question before when I was considering Caruso. A few ladies suggested adding a bit of setting lotion to the steamed water. Lotta body was highly suggested.

The Caruso waves I have in my avatar lasted two days, without hair spray and no setting lotion or special products, just my leave-in and oils in my hair before I airdried in a rollerset.

Caruso rollersetting is so quick, I don't mind rolling it up again if I need to. Plus it's more moisture for my hair.
