Is there a major difference in the way the rollers work? I notice most people use the regular ones. Any reason?

Depending on how your roll the hair, snap ons can leave a bump. I always get that dopey bump in my hair when I use the snap-ons, especially in the front! They are so much easier to use though... I need to get the snap on technique down...

I use the snap on ones. They are easier to control and i'm less likely to knock them out when I bump them while placing other rollers. I used to use the clip on ones tho.

i use the snap ons and they leave a bump but i still need more practice with rollersetting.

I own snap-on rollers but I just leave the "caps" off when I rollerset (except for my very short areas in the nape/sides). I use the silver duckbill clips to hold the rollers in place.

Thanks guys. It sounds like it is just a matter of preference. Except for the bump, the end result is the same...smooth hair.

I use the snap-ons. They're easier for me since I'm a beginner rollersetter. I just leave the caps off of the ones in the front to get rid of the bump. The others I'm not as concerned about since I can separate my hair to hide them.

If it weren't for duckbill clips, I probably would no longer be rollersetting my hair! I can NEVER get a nice set with the caps  (dern creases)!
