I was looking in the shampoo aisle at Whole Foods today and saw Giovanni's Magnetic Energizing Shampoo. Looks like the premise is that it has tiny magnets or magnetized ingredients. Here's a link-

I remember seeing something about magnetized water under the unconventional methods to grow hair post. Has anyone tried this?

Take care,

Thanks for your post Greenilady1! I started the "unconventional" thread in the past and posted about the magnetized water (I'm making a new batch right now). I went to the Giovanni site to read about their concepts. They may be on to something big, introducing magnetics into hair care. If I do try any of their products, it may be the shampoo first. Maybe they will provide free samples too!

WOW! This is some new age stuff. I was reading about some similar products on this site. http://www.philambdatechnology.com/mainindex.html The scientist in me just really wants to experiement but the "broke sista" is tellin me to simmer down on the products :D

The scientist will probably win out after a couple more paychecks. Hopefully someone else who has already tried some of this will respond!

I REALLY want to try this poo/con combo, but I want try Giovanni's other stuff (i.e. 50/50) before I try the magnetic line...I think it should be interesting...
Maybe I'll pick it up when I go to Whole Foods today...gotta pick up some Giovanni Direct anyway!

I wanted to revive this post and let y'all know that yes, you do indeed get a good shampoo conditioner.

I've not used a relaxer since early july, I switch between MOP Mixed Greens and Giovanni 50/50 usually. (because I can't find anything else that I can even remotely use as far as shampoo) So I finally ran out of the giovanni, decided what the heck, lets give the mangetic one a shot.

BTW, you should be able to get it at whole foods (i.e., whole paycheck).
The shampoo and conditioner are silver and smells really nice while both are also creamy, the conditioner and really super creamy. You don't really need to use a lot unless you just have a lot of hair to wash.

My hair always feels really super clean after this shampoo. I can't really describe it. It dosen't feel stripped or anything, just really clean. so does my scalp, and my hair feels really heavy.

Its been 2 weeks so far and I washed with it every other day in that time.
My hair feels smooth and soft and is definitly fluffier. I've got a lot of added a sheen to my natural hair, and a good shine to my relaxed hair. It also feels much stronger.

Shedding has lessened to maybe 10-15 hairs and I've seen no breakage since I started using it a couple of weeks ago.

Though my boyfriend , makes fun of it, says "women will buy anything" he has also been using it much more than his paul mitchel stuff. (cause I don't go throught all that much shampoo and its almost half gone) which says a lot.

I had to tell Dr. Spock to shutit.:spank:

Anyway, thats my review. the shampoo and the conditioner were $8.99 each.

Thanks for the review, Arcadian  I've been eyeing these for some time and I'm almost out of conditioner and ready to buy new stuff :weird: I'm actually thinking mostly about trying the deep conditioner to this line.
btw: The shampoo and regular conditioner are $5.39 at myvitanet.com. I might order from there if I don't find some place locally that sells it at a decent price.
