Lye relaxer

I use ors ly the last two times. I dont know I like it but i never had a perm that strong im scared of breakage over time. Has anyone noticed breakage over time? Im thinking of switching back to vitale but i see they changed the formulea since i used it. and then i heard good things about silk elements too?

I voted for Silk Elements. It's the only lye relaxer that I've used at home and I love it. I've used it twice and *knock on wood* have experienced no breakage from it. It processes quickly, though, so keep an eye on that clock if you're not trying to go bone straight.

My stylist used Vitale on my virgin hair about 1 1/2 years ago and that was good also. I don't know if they have changed it since then.

I've tried Silk Elements and I think I'm in the minority that HATED that ish! Burned the crap out of my scalp and didn't process squat. ORS works the best for me. I think that with lye relaxers, just like anything, it's that scary "trial and error" process until you find the one that works for you.
