LUST sucks!

I ran out of my Keracare Humecto, so I decided to buy some LUST, due to all the raves about it on this board. It sucked! It did NOT provide ANY SLIP in my hair at all! It took me at least 15 minutes to comb thru my baby fine hair, not to mention all the hair that came out in the comb.
From now on I will stick to what works best for me, and the products that my stylist uses on my hair, and not what everyone is RAVING about on the board. Don't get me wrong I LOVE all the great tips, reviews and advice I get from the LHCF, but I cannot afford to make any more $$$$$$ mistakes!

sorry to hear that it didnt work for you. I dont plan on trying it because Im finding all types of products that give me the same results that everybody is claiming that LUST gave them and its cheaper. Stick to that Humecto!!!!!!

queenofmean,

There was a very long thread about this before. The conclusion was it could be better for some hair types over others and also well, everything doesn't work for everyone.

I've never used it, I looked at it and it didn't seem like something my hair would like.

Yes, I agree with you about using what works best for your hair. I can say my experience with LUST is great. I haven't had any problem sas of yet. I'm transitioning so my hair isn't easy to comb through, but with the LUST it makes my hair soft. It prvides much SLIP and I don't have a lot of breakage. Yeah trying to follow eveybodys products on this board will have you broke. Sorry it didn't work for you.

I would like to know if u bought the fullsize jar of the stuff or the sample packet of LUST.

Like everyone is saying: what works for one doesn't work for all. if something is working for u, dont go to the dark side and let the raves control your checkbook.

as u can see from my hair website, i have a hair budget and plan on stick with it. maybe u could try that. Also, honestly i don't read threads about new products: i never read a thread about surge, DB, biolage, etc because i knew i couldnt afford them, and i knew they wouldnt work like the cheap wonderful staples I have.

Although, when i had a sugardaddy who bought me haircare stuff, LUST was a great leave-in.

I agree. You gotta use what works best for you. I saw LUST in the BSS but I didn't buy it because I'm content with the conditioners I'm currently using.

I tried Lust and had the same experience Queen... You might try Aussie Moist if you like Humecto.

Lust was horrible for my hair...as are most conditioners with a lot of silicones... but I tried Aussie Moist and ... it gave me awesome moisture and slip.

LUST is supposed to provide slip? I haven't heard that. Sorry bout the bad experience. I love the stuff, but I'm afraid my budget won't allow it.

Lust works great on my hair provides great slip.
I have learned what works great for some does not work well for others my hair hates pantene relaxed and natural conditioner and shampoo and it works well for others.

Queen, I had the same results with lust... HATED IT! I love Humecto and I have been using it with good results for years. I urge you to buy the 5lb tub so that you won't run out of it as fast leaving you in a jam

I missed that thread but I came to that conclusion too. I figured my hair is just not in the right condition to benefit from it. It is nice and thick and smells good, but I didn't have much luck with it either. Maybe I'll clarify and try again down the road.

I tried the sample pack of lust last week and was very happy with the results. I have very dry hair and this left it moisturized and I had plenty of slip. I may purchase the full size jar after I try out my sample of Mizani moisturefuse.

LUST works well on my hair too. You're so right. What works great for some does not work well for others.

I am on the LUST loving bandwagon. At first I hated it. But I decided to give it a second try this time using a clarifying shampoo first. OMG, the comb just fell through my hair.

So much slip, even after I rinsed it out! LUST is a keeper for me.

DSD,

I was so glad when you decided to give it another try.

I'm glad your hair liked it the second time around.

Nebula you can purchase Humecto at JCPenney's and online at metro-beauty.com as well as other sites. You may be able to find it in a BSS in your area... I've seen it at a couple in NY and Philly.

Yeah, I used it on my hair this morning. I needed to soften up my hair a little 'cause I just took out my braids. Man, my newgrowth was so soft I changed my mind about relaxing. I am gonna wait until maybe the end of Feb! Lust is all that and then some!

I had the same experience with lust, It left my hair hard and dry after I rinsed it out. I then tried a little as a leave in and my hair came out pretty soft. try it as a leave in first, especially since you bought the whole jar.

When I tried the LUST as recommended I was very disappointed too

I got no slip, no silky hair, in fact it was just the opposite. But I recently tried it again on dry hair as a leave in to hold my 2 strand twists together and it worked wonderfully.
