Ok... I did my first henna mix today and I think I may have done something wrong.

1. I have lumps in my mix! - I added ''fruit yogurt" :nono:

2. I added amla oil to my mix! :nono:

Has anybody had lumps in the mix?:wallbash:

I have decided to let the mix stand overnight, but not in the fridge is this okay?:spinning:

Lumps? Did you add water to your mix yet? You can't mix it with only yogurt.
The consistency should be like mud.

Here is the henna book. Substitute lemon juice with hot water. I put tea bags (red) in my hot water before mixing in the henna. You shouldn't put the henna in the fridge. The directions are all in the book. HTH!

i have lumps when i do not slowly add in the water while mixing.....also, the fruit yogurt was probably not the best thing to do, but i dont think it made the lumps....

I only mix my henna with water and it almost always lumpy. Mixing in more water gets most of them out and if I freeze it (after it develops) than defrost before I use than all the lumps come out.

You have to add the water slowly and stir it pour by pour to eliminate the clumps.
Are the clumps powdery?

I usually mix my Henna with water & conditioner. I'm constantly stirring while adding the water and then I add the conditioner which makes it into sort of a thick creme.
