Hi everyone
I have been a member of lhcf for a long time (2 years) . I have never posted because I am older than most ( I think) and I have a head of 50+ % gray or more that I love. It is now almost shoulder length, thanks to the ideas that I have gotten from this board. Thanks to all of you.

There are also many things that I have learned through trial and error that pertains to gray . I stopped dying my hair ( kicking and screaming ) about a year or so ago. Well now I like my hair a lot.
If there is anyone who feels like I do please feel free to post a response.
Thank you.

There are a lot of older ladies on the board. So you should definately post more :drunk:.

I'm 32 and I have a few grays but I think gray hair beautiful :) and I would love to see some pics :click:of your hair.

:welcome: to LHCF :)

I love gray hair. Welcome!

Welcome, Ms. Syl!

There is room for EVERYONE here at the LHCF! :yep:

I love my gray hair too! I am 34 and I have been going gray since I was 26! I would say that I am now 5% gray but the percentage seems to be rapidly increasing lately!

I have briefly considered coloring my hair but I decided that the upkeep wasn't worth the effort. Besides, I HATE seeing roots on others so I can only imagine how I would feel about seeing them on myself. :nono:

I know that some women (and men) think negatively about graying and gray hair but I choose to believe that I WILL look even more beautiful with a head full of healthy and long, platinum-colored hair. :yep:

Hi :wave::wave::wave:
Another silver haired lady here and I've been like this since I was 23, I'm 36 and I still dye my hair black, but I am thinking of leaving it gray because I think the dye is contributing to my shedding and breakage. But my friends always talk me out it when I mention it :ohwell:

My mom's hair is absolutely beautiful, you can see a picture of her hair in my fotki unde rthe family album,it's silver and has been like that since she was about 38 when she stopped dyeing it.

Do you have pictures of your hair? and how did you do it? did you stop dyeing it? how did you manage the transition?

I think that gray/white/silver hair is sooooooooo incredibly beautiful. I have a few strands at 33 and they're silver. I love seeing beautiful healthy gray hair on a woman. It's just sexy.

:yep: Especially if it's bright and white! Nothing is prettier.

Ms. Syl age ain't nothing but a number! I'm 50 and fabulous and I post a great deal. It's fun to share and fun to learn. My IQ has soared even higher since coming to LHCF. I am sooooo in the know with what's going on in the world 'cause I find out EVERYTHING on LHCF :look:.

Come on out of hiding so we can give the ladies some hard-earned wisdom :yep: and bring some of your friends too!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ilvery & salt & pepper grey hair.
IT is fierce!
I have a whole folder in my fotki dedicated to my mother-in-law's mixed grey hair.

It took a while but I finally convinced her to stop using dye to cover it up and her hair is now thriving.

I will proudly be 58 in July, age ain't nothing but a number. I post a lot on here and have received some excellent tips. It's never too late to learn! I have some grey hair but it turns reddish when I use henna.

GO ON GIRL!!!!

Gray hair is really really hot (no homo)

I've been seeing some gray haired ladies and I make sure I go out of my way to tell them how good it looks. Long hair, short hair, braids...don't care.

ITA!!!! My mom is gray and finally gave up the black and relaxer and BC'd and put in some red colorshowers. She cant wait to be gray again. I think gray is so fly. :yep:

I love wine too. What kind do you drink? I'm s chardonnay/riesling girl

I have alot of gray. My mother and kids tell me I should dye it. My husband teases me about it constantly. But I love it. It's very white and I hope when it's all white it's very beautiful and long.

I think gray/silver/white hair is beautiful and I have full intentions of letting my hair turn when it's good and ready. To me it's sign of wisdom and aging gracefully- there's nothing more beautiful!

I think embracing "silver/platinum" hair is very becoming, especially if you're around the age that people in your family normally get it. Since "black don't crack", it's so hard to guess anyone's age these days. Methinks having hair that gives a hint of the wisdom you've acquired over the years is just so cool. Take for instance, this gorgeous 60-year-old lady I posted in the skin forum a few months ago:
