Ok, so I was having PJ withdrawal because I haven't purchased many new products lately. My hair is almost 8 weeks post and I wanted to do a simple rollerset. I saw this in the store and remembered seeing someone on here mention it so I purchased. It was only $3.49 for the jar. I was going to do a sprial rod set but I was pressed for time and didn't want to be up all night putting in 50-11 rollers so I did a basic rollerset.

I loved the feel of this going on and I rolled my hair using the yellow hard plastic mesh rollers. I think they are about 1 1/2 inches? Ok so I rolled my hair up and went to bed. When I got up in the morning, I sat under the dryer for about 15 minutes because I always have a few rollers that are still damp.

I didn't need to sit under the dryer though because my hair was completly dry! That was a plus! I took the rollers down and immediately noticed that my hair was a little on the crunchy side. When I rolled up my hair it was soaking wet and I used the Cremewrap sparingly.
The set was really pretty, but it was so firm that I was afraid to comb through it for fear of breakage. So overall I would give it a 6. I would use this again when I am doing the spiral rod sets that I never comb out and want to last a long time, but for regular rollersets, I think it would be too firm of a hold.

HTH.
(sorry this is so long!:D )

PS: I LOVE THESE ROLLERS! Thanks ladies for the recommendations!:D
ETA: here are the rollers!

What do you use to hold your mesh rollers? I used to use pins and they would kill my scalp. I must be retarded becaue those clips slip on me, I may be a a roller set retard.

Thanks for the review of the wrap cream, I bought some the other day but I haven't used it yet

I use the pins and I love them. When I put them in they sort of curve (get a little bend to them, and go either in, or under the adjacent roller. Some people clip the rollers together, but my hair is so thick it would never dry. I love the pins!

someone on another board had me thinking about miss cool 5 minute fast set - how it worked really good but i don't think it's made anymore....

anyways, i have a can of this stuff and except for that it's more watery than miss cool, it can do a fast touchup set with the soft rollers just as well as the miss cool but does dry a bit crunchy. i don't remember miss cool being crunchy but it's been a loooooong time.

haven't tried it for rollersetting with a dryer though, just the regular lottabody blue stuff. actually, this can dry crunchy too if you're not careful.

glad you tried it....at least you have a backup in case of emergency :D

Woo, you just took me back a couple decades!!

Do they make pins now that aren't made of steal? I would imagine that firm plastic ones would be better than the kind I used to use back in the day....the thing about them is that the roller gets tight and stays! No movement...the down side was I had a scalp ache for the rest of the day, beautiful hair though...those curls would hold and you can get your roots st8 just from the tension on the roller.

The pins I have are plastic. But, they still do make the metal pins. They have a plastic covering.

Girl I have a bag full of those rollers and pins that are almost older than you! LoL

I'm going to have to dust them mugs off. Me and magnetic rollers aren't getting along
