My hair seems to be shedding alot. Its like evertime I just lightly pull on it alot of it comes out:wallbash: At this rate I feel like I will never make it to MBL but the only thing is that I am allergic to sulfur so I cant use or take Garlic supplements. And I seem to have a bad reaction to some protein tratments like Aphoghee

Is there anything else that I can use to stop the shedding?
:perplexed

Thank you :)

I'm all ears for this one. Lately my hair has been shedding more as well. Am now trying garlic tablets and an iron supplement with spirulina to try to curb it. It is useful to remember that our hair does go through a shedding phase so it might not be anything too serious.

If I am not mistaking there is a thread where the ladies said tea/coffee rinsing has ceased there shedding. Search for tea rinse and see what comes up. Hope you solve the problem soon

Hmmm, interesting. I think I'll try that at my next wash. I've heard good things about tea rinsing.

ohh okay thank you I think I should give that a try do you know how much time it takes to do the coffee or tea rinse?

I'm waiting too....
So far I've been using Motions CPR Shampoo and Treatment conditioner... This time I am gonna add the Aphogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor...

Tea rinses are nice (I use nettle with henna for mine) BUT for my 4b hair, it certainly did not do the trick quick enough. However what HAS worked like a miracle for me is adding garlic oil to my cowash condish. I usually cowash once using HH and then a second time in the shower with HH mixed with 7-8 capsules of garlic oil. I then air dry with my leave-in and have NO problems from there on.

I know you said that you are allergic to garlic and protein treatments, but I didn't hear you mention anything about having tried garlic externally, so hopefully you can gather some advice from this that may work for you.

I had worst shedding of my life in January. I used Nexxus Emergencee and it stopped the shedding and breaking dead in it's tracks. Hopefully, this will be something you can try.

Nutrine Garlic Shampoo curbs my shedding. I use it one to two times per year.

Reading is paramount, lol...sorry just read the allergic to garlic part.:lachen:

I just did my first tea rinse about an hour ago and it def reduced the amount of shed hairs that I had. The only thing w/ tea rinsing is that you have to do a nice moisturizing DC after you rinse the tea out. It almost has the same effect as a protein treatment (but it comes from the caffeine). But overall I like the results .. I only had a few hairs in the comb instead of a handful

Get that NU GRO spray with moisturizer it stops shedding in its tracks its all natural and it does have garlic in it and you will have to use something to mask the garlic smell like a good smelling leave in conditioner but it is worth it http://www.nugrohairproducts.com/
