Has anyone here used Folicure? I was just wondering because I can't get in to see a dermatologist until mid-August but in the mean time my hair is continuously falling out with the hair folical (little white bulb thing) on the end. Please help me. Let me know what you guys think I can do until I can get professional help from a dermatologist and if you know anything about this product.

I take GNC Womens Ultra Mega and Biotin. I conditioner was my hair daily and shampoo every three days. I do a deep condition everytime I shampoo and I just got it cut to remove the highlights and damaged ends. You can see the cut and the way my hair looks by going to www.picturtrail.com and using princess_j as the users album. I use keracare products and moisturefuse.

Thanks for the prompt response I am going to post some more pics right now.

what do you do to your hair after you wash and condition? i mean how do you wear it on a daily basis?

p.s. i've never used Follicure. sorry i couldn't answer that question...

Princess_J,

Your regimen seems to be fine.

Do you massage your scalp 1-2 times a day?
Are you sure the hair that you have seen coming out is not the hair that sheds daily?

Eating right, as well as taking vitamins is essential in healthy hair growth.
If you are doing this, taking your vitamins, and being consistent with your regimen,
there shouldn't be any problems.
Stress also contributes to excessive shedding.

Some people might shed more than others. Maybe you are a natural shedder. I have heard it is normal to shed up to 100 hairs a day.

I'm not a professional or anything, but it sounds to me as if your hair is simply shedding (which is abosolutely normal). It's always best to get a pro opinion, but I really do not think you have anything to worry about. The best indicator of healthy shedding is when the hair has that little white bulb on the end. If there is no white bulb, then chances are that the hair is "breaking", and then you should worry.

I really hope so guys because I love having hair and don't want to start seeing it thin out because of this. I am only 23 years old that is too young to have to deal with thinning hair. My mother is 49 and still has tons.

Princess,
I used Folicure in the past and it worked great on my hair. My hair grew back so fast after a scissor happy stylist cut off my hair. I regret the day I stopped taking these vitamins (got tired of pill popping), however I have started again.

Princess, I only use the vitamins. In addition to the vitamins, I used Organic Root Stimulator balm on my thinning areas and this promoted a lot of hair growth in those thinning areas.
