L\'oreal\'s colorspa

in Tawny. Has anyone used this color? WHat were your results like? My hair is a very dark brown. Also, what is the difference between at home color and the color that they use in the salons?

Re: L\'oreal\'s colorspa

please be very careful with that stuff. I was traumatized by this haircolor. Is it a reddish brownish color? anyway its not so much the color as it is the brand. This turned me against ever coloring my hair again. I may have misused it because I applied it a few times all through my head over several months period of time. I literally lost almost all of my hair...it was so short, thin and damaged. The stylist refused to perm my hair because it was so bad. that was when I cut it all off and started from scratch a little over a year and a half ago. Now nobody could pay me to color my hair because Id hate to ruin my progress. The closest Ill get to a haircolor will be a clear cellophane, and even that is a big maybe!

I used to color my hair with Color Spa Espresso back then. I really didn't like the product in general because it is more damaging, and it doesn't moisturize the hair after the actual coloring. Natural Instincts I love the most because it is less damaging and has a deep conditioner to keep hair soft and shiny (I would use another conditioner than the one that is in the kit). I don't know what are the ingredients in Color Spa, but like the previous post mentioned, you should be more careful using it to avoid possible damage when following the package directions.

PM Tracy for her input. She's the color guru and I'm sure she would have more info for you.

I used this brand once, a few years ago and I only remember not liking it. I don't remember the reason though. Sorry /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: L\'oreal\'s colorspa

I believe I used it once. It had the black girl with the chin length hair and brown eyes on the front. i liked it. It left my hair shiny and pitch black.

I also used feria in starry night and liked that too.

When i last got my hair relaxed my stylist said you dyed your hair didn't you. I was like yep, I wanted it pitch black. She said next time get your relaxer first although it doesn't really matter since it's a deposit and not bleaching.
The only thing I didn't like was that it wore off rather quickly.

Re: L\'oreal\'s colorspa

I used this color on my daughter's hair in the winter last year, I think the shade was Redwood or something like that ... Everything went fine...

Well, this summer she was out in the sun a lot (and also in the pool) and her hair is still in good condition, but her hair got these really light, coppery highlights just from her being out in the sun!!! I'm also thinking that maybe the peroxide in the haircolor could also have contributed to the color change.../images/graemlins/look.gif
