I don't know if it adds shine but it does moisturize the hair.

It basically forms a bond on the hair shaft to protect it from heat.

Most ppl use it as a pre-lax, applying it to the NG a bit b4 relaxing. Hair comes out silkier, and some say bcuz you can leave it on a bit longer the hair comes out straighter.

I also spray on my hair after poo/con sessions, just bcuz.:look:

It does not give shine, but helps to promote a bit of strength.

Silk protein adds strength because it bonds to the hair shaft. It also adds suppleness and is simple to use.

Royal glory your hair is simply gorgeous.. how much of the silk protein do you add, to which products and how often.. Have you noticed any difference.

Thank you growinglong777!

I use it once a week. After shampooing, I use enough of the silk protein (http://www.aurorasilk.com/shop/silk_shampoo.shtmlhttp://www.aurorasilk.com) to fully saturate my hair and leave it in for about 4-5 minutes. Then I rinse thoroughly and follow with my favorite conditioner.

I haven't tried mixing it with anything.
