Looking for a good product with HOLD!!!!!

I typically rinse my hair everyday and slick it back in a ponytail, and sometimes add a hairpiece in the back. Well, I am lookin for a good product to hold my hair down when I brush it into a ponytail. I really don't want anything that gets hard..like a brown gel, but if anyone has any products that they know of...PLEASE LET ME KNOW.....thanx in advance

I have been using Got2B Defiant pomade, either by itself or sometimes I'll use this plus a little leave-in conditioner. It works best on damp hair. It doesn't harden, but it does give a good hold, I think, plus it has a great scent, like faintly of oranges.
