Well ladies...now that Im back from my cruise I can rave about my touchup on July 11th.
I was 7 weeks post relaxer...I wanted to wait longer but I got a touch up because of my trip. Anyway, my stylist used Motions regular w/lye as usual but I told him to smooth for a longer period of time because my kitchen and other areas always come out underprocessed. I had put vaseline on the previously relaxed hair and he tried very hard not to get relaxer on this hair. After rinsing, he used Salerm Silk Protein and put me under the dryer for about 20 minutes. After rinsing he set my hair and the kitchen hair which was usually too short to do anything with needed a YELLOW ROLLER!!! I was so excited and he even remarked that my hair grew. After the set, I asked him to wrap it to preserve the curls (he usually blows it out). But I couldnt stand walking around like that so I took the pins out in the car. Girls...I had longer, bouncy hair!! You all know about my kitchen and edges drama...well I can see new sprouts on the edges where its growing in and my kitchen is long enough so that I can wear a pony tail w/o looking
Even my mom noted that my hair was longer. I was looking pretty fly in the Caribbean...OK...just had to share my joy. Thanks to all of you here on this board , Im finally retaining length...Thank God...
