Long Time Transitioners - 4a/b

This is about where I am, too. I wear braids for a few months, and trim my ends after I take em out. I've been transitioning since April 2009, and will probably go 2 yrs or until my 40th bday in November.

It's been 21 months and some change. I'm about 85% natural because my crown and sides still have a little relaxed ends on them. I will never just chop them off, but will gradually lose them as I trim. And I only trim when needed. It is noticeably growing well and healthy and thick.

i have been transitioning 21 months...im just trimming gradually, im due for a trim stat! I am not a fan of short hair so bc is not on my radar.....

Have any of you ladies worn styles without extensions on your own hair? I am considering trying this with twists because I currently can't braid. I was thinking on one year, but I just need to take time to be able to think on what I want as far as my hair goes. I am always cutting my hair. I think I need to take my time and learn some techniques first. I'm excited to learn.
