Heya my london gals, been trying to find some products that have Miconazole nitrate in the the only one i can find is the Daktacort foot cream that also has hydrochortisne in it, what do you use if at all?

thanks in adavance:p

Hi
I use Daktarin Athlete Foot Cream which you can get in boots. It has 2% MN content but I don’t use it neat for fear of head aches etc..
So far so good. I use it one a week cos I prefer my home made MTG. I mix it with Castor & EVOO or Peppermint oil.
I have to admit that I don’t thick MN is for me. Once I finish this tube im done, sticking to MTG alternative. Why? The next day after I use it, my scalp is very tender and I feel like I had a slight burn. No scabbing mind, just a little tender. I believe a number of ladies have this experience but it still works.

Here's a pic

TemiLnd, thats what i use but i get headaches really badly - even though i mix it with carrot oil, coconut oil and glycerin.

I only used the mix for a week and half stopped because of the headaches and tender scalp.

What is your home made MTG made of? How long have you used it? Also have you noticed a good amount of growth.

Hey Bublin,
I feel you, that's why i only use it once a week. but I’m a stickler for money so I MUST finish the tube. a bit of a drag really cos i don't really like it.

My MTG mix is courtesy LHCH and Fotki with my own adaptation [have a look at the recipe exchange board, you are sure to find various alternatives].

Mix:
2 teasponns of Sulphur Powder: I ordered my sulfer from http://www.gardenchemicals.co.uk/index.htm £2.50 for 100g
2oz of castor oil
1oz of EVOO
1oz of coconut oil

Im going to add 1oz of Amla oil in the next batch and reduce the castor to 1oz. I mis it all up in my old Doo Gro container, it has a skinny nozzle for easy application.

It's worked great so far and it's not uncomfortable. my hair is in braids so i wash it every 2/3 days so no yellow build up. I have taken pics of my problem areas in my Fotki and hope to update everytime my hair is out of braids.

Been using it since the beginning of Jan and my temple and hair line is thickening up. But I wont be able to tell proper till I take my braids out. Oh, I have had to redo the front twice and I’ve had my braids in 4 weeks. I normally only redo them once.

Save me as one of your favorite and see my progress. :)

There is this Daktarin which you have to get from behind the counter at most chemists which is safe for scalp use (it says it is on the inner leaflet) You can use this daily. It has 2%.
I have used it - I did have a headache the 1st day then it was fine. I only tube which lasted about 2 weeks (used daily) so I can't comment on growth results.
HTH

Hiya...thanks for this - i'll mix some up and start using it. I am thinking of just adding the sulphur a natural hair oil mix i already have. I'll buy my sulphur from Baldwins in Walworth Road - do you know it?

I've look at your fotki album and am impressed with you braiding your own hair and it looks great. i wish i had patience like that!

How do i save you as a favourite?

It's right next to the Bingo Hall on Streatham High Street. You shouldn't miss it. If you are coming from Brixton take any bus to Streatham High Street and get off outside the Bingo hall and cross over. It's not a big one but has all the suppliers you'll need.
HTH :)
