I wanted to know what the ppl closest to me have been able to find in your local stores, for your hair.

If you can give the name of the product, store and location.
And a short review if you can.

I know I probably have some things hiding right under my nose, I just haven't had the time to go look.

This thread is not limited to just my area, if you have found something that does wonders for your hair, or has been raved about on the board. Don't hold it in let your fellow ladies know!

If anyone in Cincinnati is looking for the V05 Vanilla Mint Tea Clarifing Shampoo. I found it at Meyers in Oakley. I search everywhere before I went there and no one had it yet. Then I happen to go in there and there it was. I love it. I got my hair nice and clean with out drying it out. Only 1 buck.

Coconut oil at Wally World (wal-mart) for about three bucks (over a lb.) It worked just as good as what I bought from a local health food store..... and it cost 75% less.

Family Dollar had LeKair for 1.50/2.00 a jar. :D yay!

A quick visit to FAMILY DOLLAR always yields hair treasures, moisturizers, shampoos, containers for my hair stuff, ORS products, baggies. FAMILY DOLLAR is all over the place in Brooklyn. {Non-hair related but some of my favorite childhood {umm, adult too} snacks, pork rinds, etc. from South Khaki are there too!} I Love, Love, Love saving a dollar.

Big Lots has Nature Gate Herbal Hair Conditioner and Jojoba Shampoo for $1.50.Great Price.
Nature Gate products usally cost $6-8 dollars at most Health Foods Stores.
I also found Scruchi for Baggie Method a buck a pack.

any md/dc/va treasures or hot spots?

I found a great indian store across from Security Square mall. It's in the small shopping center where the Wachovia bank is. The Family dollars all in the Baltimore Area have great deals on clips and pretty accessories to dress up a boreing bun. And CVS and Walgreens always have discontinued items on sale at great prices.
