LHCF OG's who remembers RENIECE?????

Hey everyone!! It's been a while since I been here but LHCF was my happy place back in the day and I'm so glad to see that it's still up and running. I plan to visit more regularly as I try to get my hair back on track.

But anywho, who remembers Reniece from back in the day? She was the sew-in QUEEN and had technique was next level for hair growth and health. Remember how her personal and client hair updates would have the entire forum on pins and needles? We had members in here who were her clients and their updates were to die for! And the end of the year "bun drops"!!!

As I restart this new hair journey I thought that I should get back to the basics because that's when I definitely saw progress. I wanted to get back into sewins for growth and decided to look her up for inspiration since it's been YEARS since I followed her. I just learned that she died by suicide last year I don't know if it was posted on here already and my apologies if it has been. When I think of the good times I've had with LHCF Reneice is definitely a part of that! May she rest in heavenly peace ️

If you don't know who she is please do yourself a favor and search her name on this forum! She was a BEAST when it came to haircare!!

That's so sad! I remember seeing her name, but I didn't follow her.

Wow, I wonder how many members have passed. I've been on, off and on, since 2008.

I remember her and those bun drops very well, she was inspirational and used to give out a lot of great advice.

I started reading and felt so much nostalgia, especially as I've only very recently returned to the board. It's very shocking and heartbreaking to hear that she is no longer with us.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.....

I knew she died but thought it was cancer....didn't realize it was mental health related.
