Where did you (or plan to) register?

What are you looking forward to receiving?

What did you get that you liked/loved? (Faves I guess)

What gifts were you like:perplexed or :ohwell:?

Married ladies: Looking back, what would leave off or have added?

Where did you (or plan to) register?
Macy's, Target, Crate & Barrel

What are you looking forward to receiving?
I really wanted the China and the Bakeware

What did you get that you liked/loved? (Faves I guess)
Someone bought ALL our china! It was 139.99/set. We ordered 12.

What gifts were you like :perplexed or :ohwell:?
We got duplicates of a lot of things. Some people don't tell or have the gift updated on the list to say it was bought. For example, we got really nice high ball crystal glasses from Macy's. 2 sets. And we got some everyday glassware from Target...2 sets... They are both still in boxes...lol
We also got 2 toaster ovens. One was on our Registry, one was not. Same for 2 waffle makers...and 2 sets of pots and pans.....Luckily, a girl I know kinda had a shot gun wedding a few months later and didn't create a registry. So she got all the stuff we got in duplicates that wasn't on our registry. We kept all the glassware of course....

I would have kept everything, but added more wine glassware. I would have added some more casual dining. 12 sets of fancy-schmancy china still sits in their boxes. Each set comes individually wrapped.

Where did you (or plan to) register?
I'm planning on Restoration Hardware, Macy's, Target

What are you looking forward to receiving?

Hopefully, someone will be generous enough to gift us the pots and pans.

I'll come back after my wedding next year and answer :0)

What gifts were you like or ?

Please, nothing from the dollar store.

We plan to have a wishing well at the wedding and just have people who want to give do so with cash. Neither of us have any desire for fancy dishes, and we already have 2 of everything. I'm considering, though, signing up for one of those honeymoon registries, where people buy you, like, a night in your honeymoon suite, or dinner, or your rental car during the honeymoon, etc. It's still them basically sending money, but in the form of "this money is for X".

What are you looking forward to receiving?
Money :look: Really, weddings are expensive and we're paying for it ourselves, so all help is appreciated, lol.

Do you have one to recommend. I like the idea, but FH is not sure about the fees. Total fees (paid by you and/or the giver) seem to be from about 7-10%. Whereas cash is fee-less. But some people may just like the idea better, rather than giving flat out cash. Also, the honeymoon registry allows them to pay with a credit card. But i do wonder if that's really a good thing, don't want people going into debt for a gift to us . . .

Maybe on the wedding website, we'll give people the choice and put a one-liner in there about the difference.

The honeymoon registry is an interesting idea...I wish I'd heard about it when we were planning for ours. We're going for 6 weeks though and the cost just keeps adding up. But I'm super excited about the honeymoon.

Thanks for sharing.

I know one girl who was doing her honeymoon registry with Sandals. I think they chose Jamaica

Wow, you guys are going on a 6 week honeymoon? That is AWESOME!! Do you mind sharing where you will be visiting?

We did a Honeymoon Registry and put it on our website. We went with Traveler's Joy. It was VERY easy, they do charge a 7.5% fee, but we didn't mind that.
