yo kitchens!!!

Why are my back kitchens so scraggly? The rest of my hair looks great, but when I put it in ponytail, the kitchens look like a hot mess! :wallbash:

I used to get them shaved off, then I finally let it grown out, but even after all this time, the hair is not long enough to put with the "rest" of my hair and the kitchens still look and feel funky!:nono:

What are yours like?

You have to baby that part of the hair very well! I use to have a major problem with my nape, now after tracking my progress since about 7/08 I have no problems. All I did was never brush, never use small combs, and only moisture, and seal 2x a day. If you are relax just don't relax that area, or relax it last.

what moisture and sealant do you use back there?

My kitchen isn't resistant, it grows as fast or faster than other parts of my head. BUT the hair there is constantly broken because I have to wear ponytails. Being in the military my hair cant hang past my collar. So the minute it gets a little long I have to pony it up. And that always leads to breakage. *sigh*

Mine is a mess...it won't grow and when I wear my bun or a ponytail I always have rooster head in the back! I think I'm going to stop relaxing that part as suggested by the other girls....or maybe relax it last.
