great idea @Allandra !

this is fun! i am enjoying all you ladies and seeing the journey up to this point. i don't have any baby pics of myself...:look:

but

Here are some pics from 2003 pre LCHCF. This was all before I cut the damaged hair off and started weaving my hair up to protect it and texlaxing.

The first pic is out of college.....my bonelaxed hair in a wash and go. i used to gel the heck out of my hair and scrunch it until it looked curly. it was actually a go to style that worked. too bad i never could retain length back then.

The others are taken right around my wedding. at my bridal shower about 12 weeks post relaxer. i was stretching trying to minimize breakage of already damaged hair.

The sunglasses is my bachelorette party.

The pic in the orange shirt and suit was right out of college when i used to bonelax. This period was the most healthy my relaxed hair had ever been. i rollerset it every week. sometimes twice a week and stretched relaxers to 8 weeks. i really thought i was doing something.:ohwell:

Last one is on my wedding day. My hair desperately needed to be cut before the wedding but i wanted to save my length for my wedding day style. My stylist hooked up that fried hair (added a track of extensions) and made it look beautiful. Then i cut it off and start over right after we got back from our honeymoon.

I love these! Here are a few of my own...

ETA: I made a change to my photobucket account after adding these pics, so they won't enlarge if you click on them. I'll change that soon.

5th birthday party...

First grade school pic...

4th grade school pic...

5th grade school pic...

7th or 8th grade...

After boot camp. I first relaxed when I was 16, and transitioned before boot camp. This is my short cut, air-dried and curled with a 1" barrel...

Permed AND colored. This was around 1993-4. My hair was really resistant and strong, but I tested it. Ah, to have the hair I had in my twenties - the strength, NOT this style!

3 years ago. Blow-dried and lightly flatironed.

Air-dried bun. 3 years ago.

Self-installed senegalese twists, 1 year ago. I think I may do these again soon. I loved them!

This is me 2010 bored with my relaxed hair and recognising that it needed something new. A change was about to come.

Summer 2010 and my first weave/protective style.

I took the weave out and realised it had grown. This is my first hair measurement.

I decided then... I'm gonna do this properly.
Now here I am almost 2 years on whipping my long healthy hair back and forth.. only much more gently these days! lol:lachen:

Interesting, this is the first time I've looked through my pics to measure hair growth... I'm pleased, I've done well. God is good.
