This is from September 22, 2001 (relaxed days, when I used to do spiral sets)
This is from November 13, 2006 (relaxed days, when I did roller sets on a regular basis).
This is from February 17, 2008 (transitioning, was still doing roller sets here and there). This was the first time I rolled all of my hair in 33 minutes flat (which was a record for me).
This is from April 9, 2008 (transitioning), I had my stylist cut my hair (about 6 to 8 inches) because the back middle had broken off (thanks to claw clips and medications). I no longer use claw clips, and I've had my medication changed. I was loving my new hair cut. She used the flat iron to straighten and curl my hair). I wasn't too mad about the hair cut since I had started my transition 6 months prior to this (October 2007). My hair was bouncin all around at this length.
This is from May 27, 2008. (transitioning) This was kind of an awkward stage for my hair. It was very short to me. Thank goodness I could still get it in a ponytail. As you can see from the picture above, I wasn't as good at flat ironing back then. Look at how puffy my hair is in this first pic lol.
This is from October 12, 2009 (the end of my transition

BraunSugar Wow your hair is like a totally different head of hair now...it is so thick and lush natural and looks so good on you. How long did you transition? What a transformation!

I should be classic length by now
. I have did too much to my hair. I was about too bleach and color my bangs again
, but after looking at these pics I'm gonna layoff color for the rest of the year and try to get my hair back healthy. Ugh. I may even do a cut. Too many set backs. Here are my throwbacks.

Thank you Leslie_C! I transitioned for just 5.5 months. I planned to do it a couple of years but there was such a stark difference in my relaxed hair and my natural hair that I just wanted to BC and start my journey. Relaxers just ate away any life my hair had. I'm not one of those people who does well with a relaxer & I wish I realized that sooner.

(my hair was really damaged/broken in this pic, we decided to go white water rafting the day before the wedding...my hair was so filthy and tangled. we went to a salon and it was $2 USD for a blowout/flat iron. the hairdresser ripped through my hair with a rat tail comb.
I was on vacation though and I needed my hair done for the wedding and my Spanish was not good enough to explain what not to do.)

my hair had tons of layers aka crazy breakage

Since I would do 20+ week stretches in order to avoid overlapping it constantly felt like I was transitioning. Dealing with two textures is not fun.

I'm sure your hair will get back to the way it looked in no time. You do such a good job of taking care of your hair. Are you going to go back to natural or stay texlaxed?
