wats the difference between the pink and the green one?

which one is moisturizing and which is a protein?

I know the green one has aloe in it (or more than the pink one).
The pink one states that it's enriched with: Cholestrol, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera and Collagen Protein.

Keep in mind those are NOT the ingredients, but just what's included within.

I'm gonna say that the regular LeKair Cholesterol is more moisturizing while the Aloe one (green) either has a certain amount of protein in it or has something other than moisture going on with it.

The reason I'm saying this is because my hair isn't a fan of alot of protein but it loves moisture and when I tried to use the Aloe (which I only tried to use when I ran out of the regular), my hair was like "UHmmm...what the hellll? Get off of me!" :lachen:and acted like I slathered it in protein! Meanwhile whenever LeKair Cholesterol's original formula hits my hair, it simply bathes and rejoices in it! :yep:

Honestly, hands down LeKair Original is indeed one of the best deep conditioners I've ever used hands down!:woot:

As for the green stuff? I'll pass!

They both have protein(collagen), maybe the aloe formula is just more drying, cause I never see it in stores anyway, only the pink one!! :yep: I cant even find the ingredients for the green one...

Lol. I use the original and my hair loves it. As far as the one with aloe is concerned, refer to the bolded. :lachen:

I have never tried the green one but my hair loves the pink. It is my base to which I add oils and honey or molasses or anything else. Super moisture it tell you.HTH

Oh yeah, that IS the other good thing about LeKair Cholesterol's original formula! Unlike many other deep conditioners, you can mix ANYTHING with LeKair and it will not separate or fall apart! If anything it enhances whatever I am mixing into it.

For instance, as I mentioned before my hair doesn't like protein - yet it needs protein every now, you know? So every so often I'll mix SAA into it along with peppermint for stimulation and olive oil for additional moisture. That's 3 extra ingredients and yet when I mix it, it blends with the Lekair and pretty much becomes a new product while maintaining the creaminess!

Actually with the product being so good, I don't know how they can afford to sell it for so little. Walmart sells it for $1.99 per 20 oz container which means that LeKair is selling it to stores for at least .99 a container.

Amazing!

i absolutely love the pink one. it strengthens and softens my hair... never tried the green one

I am so glad I found this thread. I took down my install and i was getting breakage not alot but enough to be noticeable. And I put the Aloe vera lekair in my hair not knowing it had protein in it. My hair doesnt mind protein but as I was still noticing breakage I was going to put some replenshing pak into it which would probably have been too much. I think i might do a Dc maybe some DPR11. Hopefully that will help. So glad i found this thread.

The pink is more moisturizing and it has a splash pf protein. But supergirl said that just because a product has protein doesnt make it a protein conditioner. I believe both are are moisturizing enough for weekly use. I LUV THE PINK ONE!!

Well I just googled it and ppl have been saying it's gonna be discontinued since 2003 and again in 2008. Apparently its their top selling product so I doubt it'll be discontinued.

So glad this thread popped up. I've had a tub of this stuff sitting around for a few months and no idea what to do with it. Glad to hear it works for some I'll try DC'ing with a doctored version soon!

Actually for some strange reason it IS being discontinued. They've pulled it out of all of the major stores and the BSSs. 2 months ago I noticed that Walmart pulled it and put Cantu Conditioner in its place :nono:. After checking a few more Walmarts and BSS, I called to ask why and they told me that it was discontinued. I even looked around online and most places had it labeled as discontinued....all but Sally's online. I went there and they still had some so I ordered (don't laugh please!:perplexed) 20 20oz containers of LeKair Cholesterol Plus! I couldn't help it! My hair was gasping at the mere thought of it being pulled off of the shelves!!!!

I just checked and it looks like Sally's is still the only one that has them in stock. So check sallybeauty.com for those who want to stock up. It was 1.99 when I last saw them but now it's up to 2.19 but if you have a Sally's card that will drop the price nicely. :yep:

HTH!
