My bff chopped off her beautiful almost MBL dreds today. She now has a twa, which shows off her pretty face.

She knows about this site and how addicted to it I've become so she asked me to recommend a good leave in for her hair. She purchased Jane Carter Moisturizer today but wasn't quite sure what true leave in's would work well for her hair. Since I'm not natural I didn't want to recommend the same products I use.

I've attached photos to give you all an idea of her hair type and I am hoping some of you all can chime in regarding staple leave ins for naturals.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm new on here so I don't know how to look at the pics. I usually use ORS replenishing conditioner and I add 2 eggs. Then baggy my hair for 15min under a hooded dryer. My hair love love loves it.

I've really fallen in love with Yes to Cucumbers Leave in! It's a thick creamy leave in, leaves my hair very soft.

Infusium 23 brown and white bottle
Giovanni Direct Leave In

She was in town this weekend, she lives in GA. We'd gone to target and I was looking at the Giovanni Direct Leave In for my hair.

I'll tell her about these two, thanks!

I told her that my favorite leave in to use on my daughter (who is natural) is a spary bottle mix of suave humectant, water and jojoba oil....but I thought I'd come and post a thread to get more ideas....

Keep'em coming ladies!

For now, I'd say tell her not to try to do too much as she gets used to her hair. My suggestion is to just leave in some of her favorite conditioner. Also, that Jane Carter may work. If it doesn't, she can always find something else.

ORS olive oil moisturiser, Suave naturals cheapie condish, and Africa's Best Organics Texture My Way Curl Keeper Moisturizing Hair Lotion mixed with JBCO bout 75/25.
