In live in DC and recently there's been a lot of news about high levels of lead in the water. I hadn't thought much about it because I never drink tap water, but now I'm wondering how it affects the hair. When I wash my hair at home I do a final rinse with distilled water, but I'm questioning if that's enough. I'm also thinking I should ask my stylist if the salon has a filtration system. Am I paranoid or could this really be bad for hair?

Interesting question. Does this also mean that certain shampoos & conditioners 'act' differently depending on the water type?
