I love this site. So after reading and reading I did my first do it yourself do today. I went to the BSS to purchase some Porosity Control yesterday, and didnt realize til I got home that it was Mendex that I purchased instead. It still worked wonders with the detangling. I washed gently with some clarifying shampoo, then rinsed out and used mendex, applied leave in, moisturizer, and a lil oil. I then attempted to do my first braid out... I opted for a bantu knot out though. The knots were still a lil damp this morning so I left them in. I took them out about 2 hrs ago, and Oh My Gosh. I love it! I tried to put a comb thru some parts though (dont know why :() and made it frizzy. but at least I know I am onto something. I cant wait to try the next style.

I think I'm gonna cowash tomorrow and try an air dry rollerset. :D

Hi

I love this site also, so much great info. I would have never known about co-washing, baggying or protective styling (just to name a few) if it were not for LHCF.

Thanks Ladies. Last night, I moisturized and applied Mizani H2O to the ends especially, and twisted in the bantu knots again. I baggied and took off the plastic cap about 6am, and tied it down with my scarf til about 7. I took out the twists, and I am soooo impressed. I am still soo excited. I dont think anyone would believe I did it all myself, and with no heat or curlers etc. This is my new home. :D

I am glad you are having fun and taking good care of your hair at the same time. I love this place too. LHCF Rocks!!!!!!!!!

Yeah! I can honestly say the little time I have been here and using everyone's tips and tricks and raves and rants...my hair is in one of best conditions it has been in a looooong time! Thanks ladies!

If it wasn't for LHCF my hair would still be looking like a hot damaged mess.

cosign...

My hair isn't even that long yet but the my hair has made a huge turnaround in terms of health.

lol... so I snapped a few pics this morning before I ran out of the house, I will post them tonight.

I think I'm gonna cowash tonight, and do an Air dry rollerset. I hope it dries fully before tomorrow morning.

I think I am going to the salon this weekend for a trim/cut to my neck. This way I can start this journey fresh and without the bad ends.

You ladies dont know how excited I truly am. I am about to be 30, and am now learning about my hair. Isnt that crazy? I think Ive learned more here in the past two weeks than in my entire life. I hope I can carry these things with me for the long haul.

Glad you're here. I've used mendex too. Nothin' wrong with it.

not a thing. :D

When I do finally reach my goal length..
the only one factor I could attribute to
reaching my goals is LHCF.

You know how some people say MTG
or taking Biotin or whatever...
my growth aid is all of the things
I've learned on LHCF ;)
