I realize my nape is getting alot of breakage. I don't really wear tight buns but I'm feeling that that area is a lil vulnerable bc it's always being pulled up. Anyone else experience this? What do you do to prevent it?

TIA

You don't want to secure the bun too tightly. I bun practically daily and my edges don't suffer, but that's because the bun is a loose bun.

Loose buns. How about the placement of your bun, is it high or low? Maybe you can switch up on your placement of the bun. I bun and do not have those problems. I do loose buns and they are usually placed low near the nape.

I was getting breakage at the nape too, but then I start bending my head down and then securing the bun and this leaves the nape some space to move.

I can't really do loose buns the way I should because I am transitioning and it's just a mess. Instead of wrapping it three times, I only do it twice now.
