I attempted to flat iron my hair at Christmas. That was a FAIL. It looked more like a blow dry. But i wasn't too bothered. The minute that flat iron heated up I was like "Oh no! Will my coils be gone forever"
Anyway to keep my stretched hair till New Year I decided to African thread it. It did the job but was sore at the nape and temple area. Because of this I gave up after a while. I remembered as a kid that style hurt badly.
I recently cornrowed for the first time I might add my daughter's hair into 2 bunches. Her hair is short. I didn't want to use barretts because she pulls them out hair included. So I decided to put a bit of thread in to secure the bunches. Even when I attempt to do it gently, she's like "it's hurting Mummy"
So my question is, who's using this method to stretch hair or maintain a style without it hurting and potentially cause hair loss?
